The Tulsa SPCA was founded in 1913 by a group of volunteers dedicated to the welfare of animals.  The TSPCA is a private, nonprofit organization supported solely by contributions from the public, bequests, grants and some fees for services.

Our Mission

    To promote a quality of life for domestic animals, who provide companionship to people in the greater Tulsa area, through rescue, rehabilitation, education, advocacy and community service.

Our shelter facility opened in the 1940s and the on-site veterinary clinic was built in the late 1980s.  We offer shelter and care to hundreds of dogs and cats every year, take in and treat many abused and injured animals, and watch over their welfare while looking for the best match for pet and person.

As the largest and longest-running animal rescue organization in the area, we work hard to offer second chances to pets who are no longer wanted, were abused, neglected, abandoned or dumped, or their people can no longer care for them.

We provide many vital services for people and pets such as positive behavior training to enhance the pet’s adoption opportunities, investigating animal cruelty and neglect, educational programs for children and adults, and a nursing home visitation program.

Our goal every day is to save lives of dogs and cats and help create the caring  bond between pets and their people.

We look forward to a time when there are no more homeless animals.
