The animals need our help.  Each of our dogs, cats, puppies and kittens deserves a loving home to spend the rest of their lives.

We regularly update our postings of adoptable dogs and cats, along with their stories when we are able to gather that information.

Start here...View our Gallery of Adoptable Pets...to visit our special pets who are looking for love.

Adoptions – matching our pets with caring people – is our main focus.  When you are ready to adopt a new family member, we hope you consider a rescued, homeless dog or cat to be your new companion.

When you adopt a dog or cat, you are offering a new life to a grateful pet and helping us make room to take in another pet in need.

You can visit our pets at our shelter, at any of the regular appearances of our Mobile Adoption Center (MAC), at regularly scheduled showings at PetsMart, 41st Street & Hudson Avenue in Tulsa, or during special events such as parades, fairs or festivals.

Adoption fees are:

Dogs less than 6-months old or less than 25 pounds - $95
All other dogs - $90

Cats less than 6-months old - $85
All other cats - $65

indicates Lonely Hearts Club members are dogs and cats who have been at the Tulsa SPCA shelter for at least 6 months, are more than 6 years old, or have other special needs. Their adoption cost is half the full fee.

Pets for the Elderly:  We participate in this national program encourages adoption of companion dogs and cats by senior citizens in need.  PFE pays more than half the adoption fee on each pet adopted by a person at least 60 years old and who otherwise meets our adoption application criteria.

PFE is a non-profit foundation that “provides the gift of health and happiness to senior citizens” while helping save lives of dogs and cats.  The program aids seniors in adopting a companion pet and helps offset “the most serious disease for older persons – loneliness,” according to the organization.  Pets offer affection, unconditional love, fight loneliness and can help ease the loss of a loved one.

At the Tulsa SPCA, our adoption fees do not cover the full expense of rescue and rehabilitation, safety, care and shelter while with us.

However, the fee does help us offset the cost of dog and cat care including veterinary evaluation on arrival and before going to a new home, tests, spay and neuter, vaccinations, medications, medical procedures and surgeries, elimination of fleas, ticks, worms. And, our shelter residents have a high quality diet, comfortable bedding and toys for entertainment, along with plenty of playtime with other four-footed friends.
