April 23 is Lost Dog Awareness Day. We all know someone whose fur baby has been lost. In today’s world, we are more connected than ever, and as a result, lost dog (and cat) posts are more accessible and shareable. Today, we encourage you to share these posts when you see them, especially in location-specific social media groups. Another useful app is Nextdoor. This neighborhood based app allows you to share detailed information the second your pets go missing and message people in your area to maximize the likelihood of being reunited. Lastly, we also strongly recommend microchipping your pets, and ensuring your name and phone number is always up to date, so if they go missing, they have a higher change of being returned to you. He loves to find new toys, but he'll always end up bringing them back to your lap so he can settle in for a good cuddle.
