Hello friends –

As you know, there have been a number of cruelty case in the news recently. Unfortunately there are always about ten times as many as actually make headlines. All rescues, and especially cruelty/hoarding rescues incur significant expenses. Six of the dogs we’ve assisted with recently are undergoing treatment for heart worms. Our staff was onsite for the recent Delaware County rescue and are assisting with vetting those 40+ animals and the list goes on and on.

To top it all off, on Friday, our main drainage pipe for the shelter collapsed. Estimated costs to repair the pipe alone are $6,000. While we try to plan for emergencies, there was just no way to predict the number of problems we have faced this year. If you can help, we would certainly appreciate your assistance right now.
